The Seize the Bay! logo is pretty straight forward, but there is also a lot in it. The icon portion on the top is a person, (not being gender specific), out enjoying their life. It also is easy to see that the choice of blue and the two stripes below the person are meant to look like the water of Georgian Bay. So it represents those people who want to enjoy their lives ON Georgian Bay!
The upside down Nike swoop, at the bottom of the icon, is entirely a coincidence and was only noticed after the first batch of hats were created, but we do subscribe to the "Just Do It!" mentality.
The font was chosen to be whimsical and fun. If you are living with passion you don't always need to fit into the boxes and structures that society tries to create for you. That is why it looks a little unstructured.
Watch for the logo to appear in a number of different places including the shirts, hats and bags being launched for The Battle of Georgian Bay.
